OHIO New Faculty Welcome

Please enter your information even if you cannot attend the Welcome. 
Your replies will help us determine what information is of the most interest to our new OHIO faculty.

Remember to also register for one of the Human Resources new employee orientations as well.  There you'll fill out your paperwork, learn about your benefits, etc.

Important Note: Any new faculty scheduled to begin in August, who has not attended University Human Resource Orientation by 8/15/14, should bring documentation showing eligibility to work in the United States to the HR booth at the New Faculty Welcome services fair on August 18 to complete the time-sensitive Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9).  A list of acceptable documents may be found at this link on page 9  Original documents should be presented in person in order to complete the form.  Alternatively, new faculty may also stop by UHR within 72 hours of their start date (8/15/14 for most faculty).  Questions may be directed to UHR at 740-593-1636. 



Lot 133 has been reserved for the Welcome.  An special permit is required for that lot. New faculty who register will be sent a permit allowing them to park in Lot 133.  There are approximately 100 spaces available on a first come, first served basis. (Click here to view/download the parking map.)

New faculty who have Athens campus parking permits may park in any of the available green or purple lots on campus.  Some lots may be unavailable due to ongoing construction projects, so please check the Parking Services website ( to check for lot closings.
