Early Retirement Overview
Tenured faculty, enrolled in the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS), may elect to teach part-time, after retirement, under the University's Early Retirement program. Those faculty enrolled in the Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP) may be eligible for the program if they meet the same eligibility requirements as those enrolled in STRS. Faculty enrolled in the ARP are not eligible for STRS benefits. Retiring faculty choosing this option can continue to teach on a part-time basis, up until age seventy, while receiving their retirement pay.
