Kim is Associate Professor of Political Science and Director
of Honors Tutorial Study in Political Science. Having briefly
attended the Seoul National University's Law School before
coming to the United States, Professor Kim earned his Ph.D.
degree in Political Science, specializing in International
Law, from Columbia University in 1975.

producing unintended consequences and newly emerging collective
properties of changing political/economic systems. In addition
to articles, essays, and book chapters, Prof. Kim is a senior
co-editor of Perspectives on War and Peace in Central America.
Students
who wish to know his academic
position before enrolling
in his class will find it
most characteristically stated
in "The Issues of International
Law, Morality, and Prudence"
(Thomas W. Walker, ed., Reagan
Versus the Sandinistas).
He teaches courses in International
Relations, International Law,
International Organization,
and Human Rights in Global
Politics. Prof. Kim is a recipient
of the University Professor
Award.
