Employees may be excused from scheduled work assignments without loss of pay only for the period of reporting to and serving on a jury or as a court witness.
An employee required to serve (or appear) for only a part of a day for court or jury duty has an obligation to return to a scheduled work assignment following dismissal by the Court.
The provisions of this policy do not apply to those instances when an employee appears in court for personal violations or when a subpoena has not been issued.
