Purpose

To provide the policy and procedure for the use of Grover Center the recreational facilities (Bird Arena, golf course, Aquatic Center, tennis courts, picnic areas, and related activity areas).

Policy

The primary purpose for all of these facilities is to serve the educational, intramural, club sports, and recreational needs of the students, faculty, and staff of Ohio University. When it does not conflict with University use, and with permission of Ohio Univer- sity, these facilities may be used by bona fide individuals or groups not affiliated with the University.

This use is granted to non-profit organizations or to organizations sponsoring performances only and would, therefore, prohibit individuals or outside organizations from planning entertainment for the benefit of themselves.

Ohio University reserves the right to refuse use of these facilities to any group sponsoring a function which does not meet the standards of Ohio University and which is determined to be detrimental to the academic, community, or state interests of this University.

Reservation of Facilities

Grover Center:

1. Classroom reservations must be made through the office of the School of Health and Sport Sciences. A written request must be submitted and a facility use permit will be issued.

2. Other available space can be reserved through the Intramural Office and/or the office of the School of Health and Sport Sciences by submitting a written request. A facility use permit will be issued.

Aquatic Center/Bird Arena/Golf Course:

Information regarding each facility, scheduled hours, and costs are detailed in the Ohio University Recreational Facilities brochure.

Tennis Courts, Picnic Areas, and Related Activity Areas: (West Green/Intramural/Putnam/Shafer Street Fields)

Reservations must be mede through the Intramural Office and/or the office of the School of Health and Sport Sciences. The request must be in writing and a facility use permit will be issued.
