Ohio University Performing Arts Series Receives Performing Arts Fund Grant June 7, 2007 The Ohio University Performing Arts Series has been selected to receive funding from the 2007-2008 Performing Arts Fund, a program of Arts Midwest funded by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from General Mills Foundation, Land O’Lakes Foundation, and the Ohio Arts Council. The Performing Arts Fund supports the touring of professional performing artists specializing in the fine arts of dance, theater, music, and family entertainment throughout Arts Midwest’s nine-state region. These engagements include public performances and in-depth educational activities, reaching audiences that lack access to the performing arts. Arts Midwest Executive Director David J. Fraher says, “Ohio University’s Performing Arts Series is to be commended for their commitment to serving their community with this distinctive event. Audiences in Athens will have the opportunity to see the exciting work of the Montana Repertory Theatre, many for the first time, and Arts Midwest is proud to support this work and the Ohio University Performing Arts Series.” For more information on the Performing Arts Fund program, visit | |
