| | | | | CIRQUE MECHANICS' BIRDHOUSE FACTORY CIRCUS + MACHINES + THEATRE + DANCE Birdhouse Factory is a place where acrobats and the early 20th century machines come together. It pays tribute to a time gone by, integrating the assembly line with original machines which power or assist the circus acts while attempting to build a better birdhouse. Birdhouse Factory was inspired in part by the work of Diego Rivera’s Detroit Industry Murals, the outrageous illustrations of Rube Goldberg and by Charlie Chaplin’s film Modern Times. The seamless blend of mechanics and art tell a story of laughter, love, flight, loss, and birdhouses. “The most important contribution to the development of the American circus since Cirque Du Soleil” - Spectacle Magazine Tuesday, October 21, 2008 7:30 PM Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium $10 – Student $18 – Senior $20 – General Single Tickets On-Sale September 8, 2008 |
