J. C. R Licklider

Joseph Carl Robnett Licklider was born on March 11, 1915 and died on June 26, 1990. He was known as J.C.R. or "Lick". He was an American computer scientist, he was also thought as one of the most important people in computer science and general computing history. He is particularly remembered as an Internet pioneer, with an early vision of a world-wide computer network long before it was built.

Licklider started off his interests in engineering. He used his talent to make model airplanes and work on automobiles. He later studied at MIT where he began his journey through computer science and woulod someday go down in history as a key player in the developement of the internet.
