Skirmish at Hockingport

Hockingport, Ohio

After the Defeat at Buffington, Morgan moved North along the River. He was able to get some men across the river at Reedsville, until the Gunboat Moose came upon the scene. Morgan decided to try and make it to Blennerhassett Island, near Parkersburg, West Virginia. but when they arrived near Hockingport, they ran into Union Forces. After a brief skirmish, Morgan's men were pushed back to the West, deeper into enemy territory and hostile forces.
