Criteria for Evaluation of
Essays
All essays must be printed from a
computer
with double-spaced lines.
Each student must obtain a
folder,
in which to collect all materials related to the process of essay
planning,
drafting, and editing. When you turn in your first essay, you
will
turn in your folder with your notes, outline(s), rought draft(s), and
final
version. When you turn in your second essay, all materials from
the first essay will remain in the folder. This folder will
document your progress as a writer and
analyst of poetry during the quarter.
IDEAS/CONTENT (25%)
GOAL: Content responds to all
instructions;
topic superbly well thought-out and carefully developed with effective
supporting detail; original ideas unique to individual student.

GRAMMAR (25%)
GOAL: Essay accurately
incorporates

preterit/imperfect,
subjunctive/indicative.
