Kitt Peak

A typical astronomer.

Omar Jamil and I with the sea of telescopes that is Kitt Peak. The hair is a consequence of standing atop a 2 km high mountain and does not reflect the fashion sensibilities of the wearer.

Omar and I in front of the massive McMath-Pierce Solar Telescope.

The humble 1.3 meter telescope at the MDM Observatory, where my research was conducted.

The McGraw-Hill's big brother, the 2.4 meter Hiltner Telescope. Visible in the background is the Mayall 4 meter telescope, the highest aperture instrument on the mountain.
