A Few Good Books

Tuesdays with Morrie

Tuesday's with Morrie is a short memoior written by Mitch Albom. I am not much for book reading, yet this book has a great message. The book is based on the fourteen tuesdays that Albom, a sports columnist, commutes to visit his former proffessor Morrie Schwartz. Morrie is slowly withering away from a disease called ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). During the fourteen weeks, Albom discovers many valuble lessons as Schwarts lectures his life experiences. Schwarts quotes "love each other or perish".

The Davinci Code

The Davinci Code is a Novel written by Dan Brown. The Novel starts out with a murder that takes place in the Grand Gallery of the Louvre Museum. The book is very deep in the history of religious beliefes, as well as symbolism. Exploration of descendents of the bloodline of Jesus Christ, the Holy Grail, and Mary Magdalines faith are big statements made in the book.

To Kill a Mockingbird

The book To Kill a Mockingbird takes place in Alabama during the Depression. This book is really has a lot of detail, but I will do my best at summarizing. The kids in the neighborhood become facinated with a house that has rumors that to be haunted. Boo Radley lives in the house but never leaves. So basically in a nutshell the kids become investigators in trying to get more information on Boo. A series of events take place, and it has been years since I read this book, so you will need to excuse the fact that I am leaving some major points out. This is a book I read in High School, which has been many years now. It really is a must read. I will leave the rest to you! Enjoy!
