About Me

Having received my Ph.D. on the OU Athens campus in 2005, I came to OU Zanesville on the tenure track in 2006, and received tenure in 2012. Born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio, I now live in Zanesville with my husband Mark, a violinist, our two cats and Mark’s daughter, Emerson.

My research interests include 20th Century British and American Literature, Travel Writing and Silent Film Comedy—especially the work of Charlie and Syd Chaplin and Buster Keaton. I have served on the Executive committee of the Buster Keaton Celebration in Iola, KS since 2009.
