interview an ABC Radio vice-president) and Bruce Morrow, and they discuss

Interesting split show this evening. The
first part, running 39 minutes, is the scheduled, short show just before a
basketball game. The game ended before 10 p.m., though, so the
remaining 30 minutes was filled by Mark Simone coming back on the air and
playing music. The interesting thing is that this last 30 minutes was
not officially part of the SNO program, so Mr. Simone had nothing special
prepared. So he just played songs. If anything, THIS short
segment sounded more like the old WABC than any SNO program ever did, not
that they're trying to sound exactly like the old WABC on that program.
But this was a nice, unexpected bonus. Just music and WABC Musicradio
jingles, and on WABC! |

WABC Rewound 2009 Memorial Day Special. For 2009, the Rewound special
was not broadcast on WABC AM 770. Rather, it was made available as a
series of podcasts that could be downloaded from the WABC radio website.
There was no post-rewound talk show, either. According to pre-Memorial
Day publicity by WABC, the show was to have been broadcast on one of the
side channels on WPLJ-FM's HD signal, but, as was reported by several people
on the New York City Radio Message Board, this apparently did not happen.
