About me...

I was born in Aydin, Turkey in 1978. I had to travel a lot as a kid and a young adult due to my parents' jobs and this provided me with the opportunity to see many different parts of Turkey. I finished college in 2000 and got a job in a governmental research institute. A few years later, I decided to follow my passion for robotics and took a plane to Athens, Ohio for graduate school. And, that is how my journey in the US started...

When I arrived in Athens, I was unaware that a nice surprise was waiting for me: Figen... Figen, who at the time was a graduate student in psychology, and I got married in the summer of 2007. Then one day, she went to a pet shop to kill some time and that was when we got Karamel! Karamel is our affectionate cocker spaniel. And, that is how my own family started...

I played basketball until I graduated from college and then started playing soccer for a while. I also enjoy reading, traveling, and have an interest in flying vehicles.
