Phish and Trey

Phish Live Phish is an American rock band known for it's music improvisation, extended jams, and exploration of music across genres. I saw them live for the first time in June of 2009 and they simply blew me away. Needless to say, they have acquired yet another lifetime fan. Phish was first created in 1985 with Trey Anastasio (guitars, lead vocals), Mike Gordan (bass, vocals), Jon Fishman (drums, percussion, vocals), and Page McConnell (keyboards, vocals). The band broke up in 2004 but have resumed playing regularly together since March of 2009. Although the band has received little radio plan or mainstream exposure, Phish, much like the Grateful Dead, have developed a large dedicated following by word of mouth, the exchange of live recordings by trading tapes with other fan and seeling over 8 million albums and DVDs in the United States.

Trey Anastasio Guitar String Bracelet Trey Anastasio, Phish's lead guitarist may just be one of my most favorite people. Not only do we have the same birthday but the guy is incredibly talented. He is the credited compower of 152 Phish songs, 140 of which are solo credits. He was ranked numer 73 on Rolling Stone's List of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 2003. Trey is known for guitar playing style and sound. His good friend Paul Languedoc (formerly Phish's soundman) built Trey his own series of special hollow resonant hollow-body electric guitars. I actually have a bracelet that is made from one of Trey's famous Languedoc's guitar strings. It is by far one of my favorite piece's of jewelry.
