Today I will be reviewing the Blue-Ray release of Disneys 2011 animated feature Tangled. Tangled is a new twist on the story of Rapunzel. In this version Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) is a princess who through circumstances at childbirth ends up with magical hair that when brushed, and a special song is sang all wounds can be healed, and age reversed. Because of this an old woman takes Rapunzel and locks her up in tower in an attempt to keep herself young forever. Rapunzel stays locked in this tower for many years and each year on her birthday she sees lanterns floating through the sky. Little does she know how connected she is to these lanterns? One day a thief named Flynn Rider (voiced by TV Chuck's Zachary Levi) stumbles upon Rapunzel. After stealing the royal crown, He is soon taken prisoner by Rapunzel and is forced to take her to see the lanterns. What ensues is a whorl wind adventure of fun, excitement, danger, comedy, and love.

Tangled is a great movie that is fun for people of all ages. Like many of Disney’s recent releases it is fully computer animated. It is a very different take on the classic tale and finds Rapunzel to be the true hero of the story and not just a damsel in distress. I would give this movie a 4 out of 5

The Blue-Ray of this movie comes loaded with hi definition quality and sound as well as deleted scenes and many more features. It also comes with a regular DVD edition of the movie which I find very helpful because it allows me to put the movie on for my kids in their rooms and still allow me to get Blue-Ray quality for myself.
