Learning Communities for Transfer Students
For transfer students entering in fall semester, a learning community (LC) provides a group of students going through the same transition process. Together you will take a one-hour course that will help you understand OHIO's academic processes, our expectations of our students, and the wealth of available resources for support and success.
As part of a community of approximately 20 students, you will have a built-in support network during your first semester at OHIO.
Members of a Transfer LC live with other upperclass students in either Bromley Hall on the West Green or Adams Hall on the South Green (some of our most in-demand residence halls).
Your LC peer mentor and LC instructor will be well-versed in the needs and concerns of transfer students, and they will help you make connections throughout the university. Each of these unique connections can contribute to an academically rich, fun, and rewarding experience and your ultimate success at OHIO.
