Your admission to Ohio University indicates that you have potential for success here, and our faculty and staff are prepared to help support you along your path toward that success. During International Student and Bobcat Student Orientations, you will learn about the many academic support resources available to you at OHIO. You may find it helpful to become familiar with these services before you arrive on campus:
The Office of the University Registrar is responsible for preserving the integrity and the accuracy of student academic records. In addition, it is responsible for providing access and distributing records in an efficient manner that complies with University policy, professional standards, and federal/state laws. The primary areas of responsibility are: academic records (enrollment/degree verification, grades, graduation, transcripts), degree audit, registration, classroom scheduling, undergraduate catalog, and veterans’ educational benefits.
Allen Student Help Center
The Allen Student Help Center works with students who aren’t sure where to go or whom to ask. They provide:
- Guidance for students who are academically lost or have multiple concerns
- Walk-in study skills assistance
- Academic Success Workshops
- Walk-in or appointment assistance
Academic Advancement Center
The Academic Advancement Center (AAC) offers support services that assist Ohio University undergraduates to reach their academic goals. Tutoring services, academic skill development and academic guidance are provided through credit courses and individual and group study sessions to support and challenge students as learners.
