Ohio University provides a shuttle bus from the Port Columbus Airport in Columbus, Ohio, to Athens before orientation. OHIO also offers temporary on-campus housing during orientation.
Temporary Housing
Temporary housing is available for new students prior to the start of the academic quarter to provide you with a place to stay during your orientation. Advanced reservations are required by emailing interimhousing@ohio.edu. The reservation system is active 1-2 weeks before temporary housing is available. If you are required to live on campus, you must have completed your housing contract before making temporary housing reservations.The cost for temporary housing is $25 per person, per night (based on double occupancy).
You will be provided with a linen packet when you arrive. Each packet includes 2 bed sheets, 1 pillow case, 1 blanket, pillow, 2 bath towels and 2 washcloths. There is a minimal cost and you may keep the linens.
Charges for temporary housing and linens will be billed directly to your student account.
