Family Weekends
Hello Family and Friends!
Ohio University invites all students' families and friends to join us for these weekends that are especially designed to honor you. Remember, local hotels fill quickly for these special weekends, so please review the lodging information on each page and book your room early. All events on these weekends (unless specifically noted) are open to the public.
To list your event on any of the following calendars, please submit your event to the on-line Calendar of Events. An Oak ID is required to submit an event.

Fall Parents Weekend 2009

The first family weekend of the school year is in honor of parents. All moms, dads, and family members are invited to join us for a few days to relax amidst the beauty of the Ohio University campus. Tickets for some events are currently available on-line here. Please check back for a full schedule of events for the weekend.

Dads Weekend
January 22-24, 2010
All dads are invited to visit their students for a very special weekend just for you.

Winter Parents Weekend
February 5-7, 2010
Because one just isn't enough, there's a second weekend especially in honor of parents and families. Please join us for a full slate of events designed with you in mind.

Sibs Weekend
February 19-21, 2010
One of the first and best family weekends. Big and little sibs are invited to have a taste of college life and to bond with their brother or sister. Cousins and other family members are welcome, too!

Moms Weekend 2010
April 30-May 2, 2010
Historically, one of the most popular weekends of the year is Moms Weekend. All Ohio University moms are invited to join us in Athens for a very special time.
For Lodging
Local hotels fill quickly for this special weekend, so please book your room early. The Ohio University Inn offers accommodations close to campus. In addition, an extensive list of regional hotels and their contact information is available at the Athens County Convention and Visitors Bureau site or call 1-800-878-9767 for assistance.
Need Directions to Campus?
Directions to Athens are available online. An online campus map is also available.
In Case of Emergency...
If a family member needs to get a message to a visiting parent and is uncertain how to contact him or her, they should contact the Ohio University Police Department at 740-593-1911 or e-mail police@ohio.edu.
Lost Luggage?
Should a parent lose their luggage, or if any kind of emergency arises, he or she should contact the Ohio University Police Department at 740-593-1911.
