Welcome to Paleontology at Ohio University

The Paleontology Program at Ohio University is home to a vibrant group of faculty and students that engage in vertebrate paleontology, invertebrate paleontology, and paleobotany. Research topics include functional morphology of dinosaurs, patterns of evolution during mass extinctions, the early emergeny of land plants and the evolution of soil ecosystems. Our faculty and students conduct research in areas as close to home as Ohio and sites as distant as Africa and Antarctica.

We invite you to look over our website to learn more about our program and the opportunities to study paleontology as an undergraduate or graduate student here at Ohio University.
