All students admitted by February 1, 2013 will be considered automatically for the Gateway Award Program!
Each year, more than 100 promising scholars from Pennsylvania join the Ohio University community. This year, Pennsylvania students admitted to Ohio University for fall 2013 may be eligible for the renewable Gateway Trustee Award, valued at $6,000 per academic year, in addition to other scholarships.
The Gateway Trustee Award is just one part of the Gateway Award Program, our premier scholarship program that makes pursuing an excellent Ohio University education more affordable for Pennsylvania students. The program blends merit and need-based aid to eligible first-year students who are new to the Athens campus of Ohio University in fall 2013.
Eligibility is based on a sliding scale of academic merit, as determined by g.p.a. and either the ACT composite or SAT math and critical reading scores (writing subscore not included for ACT or SAT); and financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Award Amounts
While other portions of the Gateway program provide need-based aid, the scholarships listed below are merit-based; they are based on the academic criteria listed here only. Every qualified student who meets the criteria and deadlines can receive the awards in the amounts listed.
