"Panoramic Ohio: Photographs by Thomas R. Schiff"
ATHENS, Ohio (Feb. 4, 2004) -- Seventy-five color panoramic photos. Thirty-six Ohio cities. Two hundred years of statehood. A selection of photographs from the exhibition "Panoramic Ohio: Photographs by Thomas R. Schiff" is on view at Trisolini Gallery through Feb. 14. In celebration of the Ohio Bicentennial, this exhibition explores many of the unique and memorable places to be found in the cities, towns and villages of Ohio.
There will be a special public reception honoring the artist on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. at Trisolini Gallery. Schiff will also present two public lectures on his work at Trisolini Gallery, on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., when he will discuss his work, his vision and his custom-manufactured Hulcherama 360 panoramic camera. The exhibition and events are free and open to all.
"Panoramic Ohio" is organized by the Cincinnati Art Museum. The Athens venue is funded by the Ohio University School of Art and the College of Fine Arts Dean's Office and held in conjunction with the Ohio University Bicentennial Celebration.
