MORRIS, associate professor of biological sciences, OSCAR RIOS-CARDENAS, an Ohio University postdoctoral fellow, and M. ANNE COOPER-CHEN, Ph.D., professor of journalism and director of Ohio Shandong Center in East Asia, along with chapter authors RICK GERSHON, ANTHONY MORETTI, TOMOKO KANAYAMA, and REGINA SILVA, all holding College of Communication PhDs, and DR. HOG CHENG, an associate professor of journalism, wrote "Global Entertainment Media," published by Lawrence Earlbaum Associates in 2005. Presentations ROBERT L. WILLIAMS, II, professor of mechanical engineering, and PAUL BOSSCHER, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, judged and chaired the ASME presentation, "A Concept for Rapidly-Deployable Cable Robot Search and Rescue Systems," for the student mechanisms contest in Long Beach, Ca., in September 2005. RICHARD GREENLEE, associate professor of social work, and WARREN GALBREATH, assistant professor of social work at the Ohio University Eastern campus, recently attended the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Delegate Assembly in Washington D.C. GREENLEE represented the state of Ohio and GALBREATH represented West Virginia. Recognitions EDWARD A. RIEDINGER, head professor of the Latina America, Spanish, and Portugese Library at Ohio State University, and professor of Brazilian studies at Ohio State University and Ohio University, has been named Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Brazilian History and Culture by Routledge Publishers (New York and London).
