PATRICIA BURNETT, College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) student affairs, received $281,116 for her Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students Award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the fiscal year 2005.

DANIEL CARMAN, physics and astronomy, received $39,889.08 for his Jefferson Laboratory Glue X/Hall D Post Doc project from the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility - S.E. Universities Research Association for the fiscal year 2005.

DANIEL CARMAN, physics and astronomy, and KENNETH HICKS, physics and astronomy, received $5,678.56 for their Jefferson Laboratory Hall B PostDoc project from the S.E. Universities Research Association for the fiscal year 2005.

TIAO CHANG, civil engineering, received $13,000 for his A Cooperative Project for Research and Education between Feng Chia University and Ohio University project from Feng Chia University for the fiscal year 2005.

KEVIN CRIST, chemical engineering, received $14,782 for his Photochemical Grid Modeling: Evaluation of Control Options for Cleveland/Cincinnati project from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for the fiscal year 2005.

PATRICIA DEWEES, Voinovich Center, received $125,000 for her CAN: Networks for Rural Policy Development project from the WK Kellogg Foundation for the fiscal year 2005.

DAVID DRABOLD, physics and astronomy, received $82,000 for his Theoretical Studies of Non-Crystalline Solids project from the National Science Foundation for the fiscal year 2005.

PATRICK GRIFFIN, history, received $30,000 for his "Dark and Bloody Ground: Empire, Nation and Myth on the American Frontier, 1763-95" project from the American Council of Learned Societies for the fiscal year 2005.

JAMES HEAP, College of Education, received $336,951 for his Upward Bound Program from the U.S. Department of Education for the fiscal year 2005.

SCOTT HOOPER, biological sciences, received $199,859 for his Phase Maintenance, Neuron Properties to Muscle Response project from the National Institute of Health for the fiscal year 2005. He also received $81,490 for his RCN: The Pyloric Model Group: Functional Analysis of a Complex, Distributed Biological Neural Network project from the National Science Foundation for the fiscal year 2005.

GREGORY KREMER, mechanical engineering, DAVID BAYLESS, mechanical engineering, MORGAN VIS-CHIASSON, environmental and plant biology, and BEN STUART, civil engineering, received $50,000 for their Enhanced Practical Photosynthetic CO2 Mitigation project from the U.S. Department of Energy for the fiscal year 2005.

DREW McDANIEL, School of Telecommunication, received $9,986 for his Beyond Violence: Transforming Intractable Conflicts project from the U.S. Institute of Peace for the fiscal year 2005. He also received $16,600 for his Open Society Institute Summer Internship minigrants from the Open Society Institute Development Foundation for the fiscal year 2005.

PAULA McMURRAY-SCHWARZ, Regional Higher Education (RHE) at Belmont Eastern campus, received $67,000 for her Early Literacy Specialist project from the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services for the fiscal year 2005.

DANIEL PHILLIPS, physics and astronomy, received $61,000 for his Few Nucleon Systems in the Laboratory, Supernovae and the Cosmos project from the U.S. Department of Energy for the fiscal year 2005.
