ZANESVILLE, Ohio (June 13, 2004) -- Beginning in the fall of 2004, Ohio University-Zanesville is offering a Masters Degree in Counselor Education, with all classes taking place on the Zanesville Campus.
An information session with complete details of the program will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, in Room 432 of the Zanesville Campus Center.
The program is designed for those interested in professional counseling services in a community mental health center, private practice, or other setting that provides health and social services.
Students will receive concentrated training in areas of counseling including mental health, marriage and family, and business and industry. Other experience will include topics like substance abuse counseling and career and family planning.
Graduates of this accredited program meet the academic requirements for certification as an Ohio Professional Counselor, a Professional Clinical Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.
