Book fair and author reception at the Zanesville Campus Library

ZANESVILLE, Ohio (April 14, 2004) -- The Zanesville Campus Library has several events scheduled for spring and has begun initial planning for this summer's Fourth Annual Literacy and Creativity Workshop.

In celebration of National Library Week, April 19-23, the Zanesville Campus Library will sponsor a Scholastic Book Fair. The book fair is open to the public and provides an opportunity for parents and children to have fun choosing books together, while stressing the importance of being a life-long reader.

At the Zanesville Campus Library event, customers will have the opportunity to enjoy a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" sale and to sign up for a raffle to win free items and materials from Scholastic. The fair will be open Monday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The library will continue the celebration during the month of April with an author's reception from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 29. The reception will honor faculty at Ohio University-Zanesville who have had their work published. The public is invited to meet the university authors at this free event.

And Harry Potter returns to the Zanesville Campus Library once again for the Fourth Annual Literacy and Creativity Workshop this summer, with activities for children in grades 4 through 7. The workshops are scheduled for July 23 and August 6, but watch for more information coming soon.

The Zanesville Campus Library supports students at both Ohio University-Zanesville and Muskingum Tech, soon to be Zane State College, as well as members of the community.
