ZANESVILLE, Ohio (Feb. 25, 2004) -- Ohio University Zanesville Campus hosted the 9th Annual Educators' Luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Zanesville Campus Center. Principals, superintendents, and guidance counselors from local high schools had the opportunity to get re-acquainted with colleagues and Ohio University-Zanesville students and officials.
Charles Bird, Ph.D., the keynote speaker, discussed the mission and direction of Ohio University's five Regional Campuses. As Vice President for Regional Higher Education, Bird is the chief administrator of Ohio University's regional campus system. Prior to assuming his current position, Bird held the position of Dean at Ohio University's Lancaster Campus from 1995 to 1999. He also served as an administrator at the Ohio State University for 18 years.
Maysville Local School District won the 2004 Superintendent's Scholarship, which is awarded by random drawing to local schools with representatives in attendance. The scholarship, worth one full quarter's tuition, will be presented to a graduating Maysville student.
