ZANESVILLE, Ohio -- For the third year in a row, several area organizations are collaborating to provide individual assistance for area students and parents applying for financial aid for the 2004-2005 academic year.
Muskingum College, Muskingum Tech and Ohio University Zanesville Campus, with the help of Bank One and Scholarship Central, the access program of the Muskingum County Community Foundation, will provide a hands-on workshop where families can complete their own Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with individual guidance from college financial aid professionals, seek answers regarding specific questions related to filing for financial aid and learn about local scholarship opportunities.
Staff will review individual forms, whether they are nearly or partially completed. Students and parents should bring copies of completed 2003 federal tax returns (1040, 1040-A, EZ or TEL), copies of W-2 forms for the year 2003, untaxed income for 2003 (Social Security Benefits, Child Support, etc.) and information pertaining to student and parent assets.
The FAFSA Completion Workshop, free and open to the public, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Muskingum Tech / Ohio University - Zanesville Campus Center. Registration is not necessary.
