Fingerhut: OHIO founders created first USO (05/08/2008) By launching the state's first public higher education institution, Ohio University's founders in effect created the first University System of Ohio, observed Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor Eric Fingerhut, who delivered the keynote address Wednesday at the university's 25th State Government Alumni Luncheon at the Ohio Statehouse.

Wyatt to direct facilities operation (05/05/2008) Ohio University Executive Director of Facilities Management Harry Wyatt will succeed John Kotowski as associate vice president for facilities, effective May 12. As part of his new duties, Wyatt will oversee all aspects of facilities at the university. John Kotowski will remain until his September retirement to head up several projects.

OIT plans data center upgrade (05/02/2008) Ohio University's Office of Information Technology is about to add a ton of disk space to its data center. A recently delivered disk array will be brought online this weekend. The work will require several outages, including a three-hour window from 2 to 5 a.m. Saturday during which the university's front door will be unavailable.
