ATHENS, Ohio (Sept. 7, 2006) --Students will be given the opportunity to voice questions and concerns about the new strategies to reduce high-risk drinking at an open Alcohol Forum, hosted by Student Senate.
The forum will be held today, Sept. 7, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Baker Center 1804 Lounge and is open to all students with questions or concerns about the new strategies. Free pizza and soft drinks will be provided.
“Forums are an incredibly important avenue of communication. They are a unique and interactive way for the student body to voice comments and ask questions about important policies and decisions made at Ohio University,” said Morgan Allen, Student Senate president.
The panel is composed of Malcolm Smith, interim director of University Judiciaries; Char Kopchick, director of the Health Education and Wellness Center; Judy Piercy, interim director of Residence Life; Lydia Gerthoffer, student member of the Board of Trustees; Athens Municipal Court Judge William Grim; and Christopher Diehl, Residence Life Commissioner for Student Senate.
