"Morning Malcolm": the 4th Annual Malcolm X Commemorative
ATHENS, Ohio (Feb. 16, 2004) -- The fourth annual Malcolm X Commemorative, "Morning Malcolm," will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Baker University Center Ballroom. Admission is free and open to the public.
This year's program will be a panel discussion by faculty/staff from Ohio University, who will speak to how Malcolm X affected, effected and infected their lives. The panel members are: Dr. Catherine Glascock (Educational Studies), Akil Houston (African American Studies), Dr. Mary Weems (Cultural Studies in Education), Brian Wilson (College of Health and Human Services and the College of Osteopathic Medicine), Janice Wright (Hearing and Speech), and Dr. J. Webster Smith (Interpersonal Communications). This event is sponsored by the Lindley Cultural Center, the Office of Multicultural Programs, the Department of Educational Studies and the Department of African American Studies.
