ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University will be closed Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of the national Labor Day holiday. The closure includes all five regional campuses and the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The university will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 7, operating under normally scheduled hours and with classes beginning. Also, the residence halls open for upperclassmen at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, and certain offices* will be open during the holiday weekend to assist arriving students (see below).
Those of you who will spend the long weekend in the Athens area may wish to take a look at the online calendar for information about campus events.
* Please note: Because the holiday falls right at the beginning of fall quarter, some student services offices will be open with limited hours and services. Here's a list:
Housing, Admissions, Bursar, Registrar and Financial Aid: open from 10 a.m to 4 p.m Sept. 4-5
Have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
