Native American Jewelry Sale returns to the Kennedy Museum

ATHENS, Ohio -- Treat yourself to the perfect gift, just in time for the holidays. From Dec. 4 through 7, visit the Kennedy Museum of Art's celebrated Native American Jewelry Sale and take home exquisite gifts for everyone on your holiday gift list. Good Girl Jewelry at White's Mill is providing the authentic Native American jewelry. Special hours: Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sun. from noon to 4 p.m.

Don't miss this very popular event. Bring a friend, enjoy the jewelry show, see selections from the Museum's renowned Native American collections and visit the "Appalachians" exhibition, which closes on Dec. 23.

A portion of the proceeds will go toward projects sponsored by the Friends of the Kennedy Museum. The Friends of the Kennedy Museum is a non-profit volunteer and fundraising organization dedicated to providing support for museum programming and acquisitions. The Kennedy Museum of Art is located in historic Lin Hall at The Ridges on the Ohio University campus. The museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 to 5 p.m.; Thursday from noon to 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Guided tours are available on most Saturdays to provide information about current exhibitions and Lin Hall. Pre-arranged guided tours are available to community and school groups with advance notice.
