"'High-Q' returns to TV" The Herald-Dispatch, Nov 19, 2009 After a long absence, "High-Q" will once again be aired locally for 31 weeks starting in December. The show, hosted by local television and radio personality Ernie G. Anderson, is being taped at the television studio at Ohio University Southern in Ironton. It is being produced by OUS electronic media students. View article
"Grant to fund OU advocate for sex assault survivors" The Athens News, Nov 16, 2009 Survivors of sexual assault at Ohio University will soon have a professional advocate as well as additional sexual-assault education and support services at their disposal thanks to a three-year, $300,000 U.S. Department of Justice grant recently issued to the university. "College Photographer of the Year" CPOY blog, Nov 16, 2009 Ryan C. Henriksen, a senior at OHIO, was named College Photographer of the Year. Maisie Crow, also of Ohio University, won the runner-up spot. View article
"OU-C theater program celebrates 50th performance" Chillicothe Gazette, Nov 12, 2009 Students in the program earn academic credit from the productions they put on and take part in every aspect from tweaking characters and scripts to bringing the play alive through costume and set design. "Gov. names OU 'center of excellence' for green energy research" The Athens News, Nov 9, 2009 Gov. Ted Strickland has announced that Ohio University has been named a Center of Excellence in Energy and the Environment. The designation recognizes the institution’s state and national reputation for energy and pollution research, as well as its potential to create jobs in the field. View article
"Ohio University Jounalism School Releases I-Phone Application" WHIZ, Nov 9, 2009 Ohio University is advancing to the fore-front of technology by releasing its own I-Phone application, known as JSchool. E. W. Scripps School of Journalism Associate Director, Robert Stewart, says faculty members want to make information convenient and available to future students, prospective students, and alumni at the touch of a button. "Report: Community college enrollment increasing" Lancaster Eagle-Gazette, Nov 8, 2009 Some are there because of the recession, and others despite it. Regardless, more young Americans than ever are in college -- especially community college, according to a new report. Pat Fox, enrollment director at the Ohio University Lancaster Campus, said OU-L saw its largest growth ever this fall semester, with 364 new students -- a 21 percent jump from 2008. View article
