"Newswatch" airs weekly economic development features on WOUB-TV
ATHENS, Ohio (Jan. 23, 2004) -- "Newswatch," WOUB-TV's evening news program, is featuring a series of weekly economic development segments, airing each Monday through Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
The featured segment on Monday, Jan. 26, will focus on Athens County. Guest Fred Baughman, president of the Economic Development Division and CEO of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, will visit the WOUB-TV news studio to discuss the latest in new business developments in the Athens area.
"Newswatch," a half-hour news program airing on WOUB-TV weeknights at 6:30 p.m., provides community members with a local news source, and provides regional residents with local news, sports and weather.
The Ohio University Telecommunications Center, a unit of the College of Communication, operates two television stations -- WOUB-TV/Channel 20 in Athens and WOUC-TV/Channel 44 in Cambridge; one cable channel WOUB II; and six radio stations -- WOUB-1340 AM, WOUB-91.3 FM, WOUC-89.1 FM, WOUH-91.9 FM, WOUL-89.1 FM and WOUZ-90.1 FM.
