Nine university students awarded Fulbrights (06/25/2004) Nine Ohio University students have been awarded Fulbright awards from the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. This is the highest number of students from the university to win grants or fellowships in this prestigious national competition.

University honors life and work of Mary Covert (06/23/2004) Mary Catherine Covert imprinted her memory and life story on the people she met through the stories she told and the poetry she wrote. She touched the lives of friends, family, professors, and student colleagues while earning her Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University - Zanesville in 1990. At the time, Covert, age 86, was the oldest graduate of a public university in the state of Ohio.

Yamada International House dedicated (06/19/2004) Thanks to a bicentennial gift from Japan?s Chubu University, the building that houses Ohio University?s Center for International Studies has been renovated and expanded. The refurbished building was dedicated as the "Yamada International House" at a morning ceremony at the house on Saturday, June 19.
