Former Clinton political strategist speaks Nov. 4
Jay Footlik, former special assistant to President Bill Clinton in the White House Office of Public Liaison, will speak from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday in Walter Hall Rotunda.
Footlik served as the President Clinton's principal liaison to the American Jewish community. During the 2004 presidential campaign, he was senior advisor on Middle East and Jewish Affairs for the Kerry/Edwards Campaign and was the lead architect for crafting the political strategy and policies that garnered the campaign support in the American Jewish community. He also served as a senior advisor for Joe Lieberman's presidential bid.
From 1998 until 2003, Footlik lived in Israel and worked on a variety of projects related to the peace process.
