Witmer to appear on Discovery Channel series
"Clash of the Dinosaurs" premieres Sunday
Dec 3, 2009
From staff reports
The College of Osteopathic Medicine's Lawrence Witmer will be featured in several Discovery Channel programs on dinosaurs airing in the month of December.
The four-part series, "Clash of the Dinosaurs," looks at dinosaurs from a new perspective -- the inside out. Witmer was among the first researchers to apply CT scanning and computer-aided visualization to study the "insides" of dinosaurs -- which will be showcased in the new series.
Witmer will also appear in "Monsters Resurrected: Spinosaurus," a companion sequel to the channel's October series, "Mega Beasts," in which he was also featured.
The show schedule follows:
- "Clash of the Dinosaurs: Extreme Survivors" (premiere)
Sunday, Dec. 6, 8 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 13, 6 p.m.
- "Clash of the Dinosaurs: Perfect Predators" (premiere)
Sunday, Dec. 6, 9 p.m.
