The Linguistics Department is again offering "almost" free English classes to members of the International community this fall. Any adult or child (7 and older) needing help with English language skills may participate. (Parents must register their child with Scott Jarvis before the beginning of the program).
Fall classes began Tuesday, Sept. 10, and continue throughout Fall Quarter on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 5:10 to 6:30 p.m. in Gordy Hall, room 301. Classes are taught by graduate students training to be teachers of English as a Second Language and are supervised. For more information contact Jarvis at 593-4564 or jarvis@ohio.edu. There is be a $10 materials fee.
These classes prove to be a valuable experience for the participants as well as our practicum student teachers. If you know of anyone who could benefit from this experience, please let him or her know about the classes.
