The division of Lifelong Learning is accepting course proposals for Winter Intersession 2002. This teaching opportunity during winter break, December 2 to 20, 2002, offers courses in a compressed format and may meet one, two or three weeks during this time period. The length of time required will depend on the faculty preference, credit hours and format.
More than 450 students participated in the thirteen Tier III courses taught during Winter Intersession last year. Two Tier III courses were taught via microwave to accommodate regional campus students. Library hours will be extended during the three-week period to accommodate student and faculty needs.
The deadline for proposal submissions is July 1. A delay in placing a course in the schedule of classes has a negative effect on the course enrollment. Students begin checking for Winter Intersession courses during the summer. All approved courses will be listed and regularly added to the registrar's Web page but for inclusion in the printed schedule, courses should be submitted as soon as possible.
