    Diversity survey launched

The Diversity Taskforce of the Division of Student Affairs is piloting an educational campaign designed to help people understand several things:

    1. The impact of hate-motivated and bias-motivated behaviors on campus and around the country.
    2. Definitions of words and behaviors such as "hate" and "bias" and what constitutes a violation or a problem behavior.
    3. Where and how they can report a behavior they have identified as hate or bias motivated.

This taskforce has set up a Power Point file in the first computer that is located in the Lindley Cultural Center computer cluster. It will take about 20 minutes to view and a few minutes to fill out a blank survey on the materials presented.

Take a little time and stop by the Lindley Cultural Center to view the show and complete the survey. The results will be helpful in planning the educational campaign to be launched in the fall.

Some of the material in the survey might be offensive and shocking. It was designed that way. If you have any questions, please call Susan Young, staff psychologist, Hudson Health Center, at 593-1616.
