Old English Reading Group

Associate Professor Marsha Dutton from the English Department will be leading an informal Old English reading group. Anyone interested -- faculty, staff, undergraduates -- is welcome to participate. HockHocking Folk Festival
May 30 from 8 to 10 p.m. Stuart's Opera House, Nelonsville
May 31 from noon to 7 p.m. Robbins Crossing, Hocking College Campus
Music, culture and heritage will be celebrated at this event. Featured entertainers are Mary Gauthier (Friday) and Bill Staines (Saturday). There will also be storytellers, instrument builders at work, musical instruction on folk instruments and a make and take area where homemade musical instruments are created. Garden Art and Herb Show

Second Annual TIGAR Showcase and Conference

This promises to have something for everyone interested in new ideas for computers, the Web, software, communications technologies, network applications and other information technology. The day will feature an expo of the region's IT companies, robot and computer gaming demonstrations, info sessions, give-aways and the chance to win a Palm Pilot ZIRE 71. Cost: $10 if you preregister online by May 30 or $15 at the door. Students and seniors: $7 if you preregister online by May 30 or $10 at the door.

"bLue trAin" by Guy Goodwin

"bLue trAin" features drawings and paintings by the internationally exhibited, post-minimalist artist and Chauncey resident, Guy Goodwin. The opening will be celebrated with the artist, along with DJs, dancing, Big Chimney breads and cheeses and refreshing libations. Quilt National '03

The Dairy Barn
Quilt National is a biennial exhibition of innovative, contemporary art quilts. This exhibition demonstrates the transformations taking place in the world of quilt art, and features artists from around the world.
