Ohio University alumni Van Gordon Sauter, a former television executive who was president of CBS News, and Charles Glover, former president of Cox Newspapers, will be inducted into the Ohio Communication Hall of Fame as part of Ohio University's 35th annual Communication Week, which will be held Saturday, April 26 through Friday, May 2. The hall of fame ceremony will be held Sunday, April 27.
Among keynote speakers during the week are Sam Abell, a National Geographic photographer; Lt. Gen. Kenneth Minihan, retired intelligence officer and director of the National Security Agency/Central Security Service; and Charles Peters, founding editor of The Washington Monthly.
Among scheduled events are an art show presented by students in the School of Visual Communication and awards ceremonies. There will also be speeches and panels about new technology applications, job opportunities, ethical challenges and war correspondence.
Communication Week is designed to encourage student interaction with professionals in visual communications, communication systems management, telecommunications, journalism and interpersonal communications.
