In Process... is an a capella ensemble from Washington, D.C., consisting of four African-American women who give powerful voice to what it means to be an African-American woman in the U.S. and the world. Their songs comment on the themes of love, self-respect, family, women, freedom and justice, equality and peace. Their workshops stress an improvisational approach to harmony singing. This event is part of the Ohio University conference "Global Africa and Its Encounters in Southeast Asia and the Americas." Contact: Dianne Bouvier at (740) 593-9141.
