Registration is still available for Ohio University's spring Human Resource Institute, "Peak Performance: HR Tools for Workplace Excellence." The March 27 to 28 institute will convene at Ohio University-Zanesville campus, conveniently located off I-70 with plenty of parking.
The sessions are designed to bring new perspectives to essential, core HR functions such as recruitment, staffing, compensation, performance appraisals, benefits and motivation. You'll also get updates on regulations and address the profession's current legal challenges.
"The sessions will offer the most up-to-date information for the issues HR managers are most concerned with," said Robin Ramey, institute coordinator. "The speakers offer new perspectives and insights that can only be gained by years of research and experience."
Participants also will have the chance to "share the pain" at the Institute's first Peer-A-Thon, during which you can bring your HR problems to the table for peers to offer their constructive problem-solving and advice.
Because budgets are currently tight, the Institute has kept fees at 1999 rates: $195 for the two-day session and $175 for each additional person from the same organization.
