ATHENS, Ohio (March 18, 2004) -- Ohio University has announced the dates of its Family Weekends and Homecoming for the 2004-05 academic year.
Dates that are scheduled for next year are:
- Fall Parents Weekend: Oct. 8-10, 2004
- Homecoming: Oct. 22-24, 2004
- Dads Weekend: Jan. 14-16, 2005
- Siblings Weekend: Feb. 4-6, 2005
- Winter Parents Weekend: Feb. 18-20, 2005
- Moms Weekend: May 6-8, 2005
Family Weekends are a special part of the Ohio University experience. "These occasions capture the family atmosphere that exists on campus and allow students to share their college experience with some of their biggest supporters," Dean of Students Terry Hogan said. "Every effort is made to ensure that the students and their parents have an enjoyable time together."
Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations Ralph Amos said, "Homecoming is a wonderful annual event for alumni to return to campus and relive the college memories that are an important part of their lives. It's always an exciting time of year for everyone to show their green and white pride, honor alumni receiving awards and take-in the sights and sounds of the annual homecoming parade."
Though the family weekends are labeled as they are, participation in them is open to everyone. Schedules of events and other details for Family Weekends are available on the Web at www.ohiou.edu/familyweekends.
