Ohio University Community and Professional Programs is offering graduate test preparation courses

Next to your GPA, your score on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) is the most important factor in getting accepted to graduate school.

Ohio University's Community and Professional Programs Prep Courses focus on test taking and skill building exercises required to earn the high score you need. A Pre-test, past exams and simulated materials are used to teach question types and test strategies. We also include a review of online testing methods.

You will learn:

  • Test Taking Techniques
  • Time-Saving Methods
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Verbal Ability
  • Math Competence

Classroom lessons combine lecture and review with test-taking strategies. Assignments reinforce simulated test questions and the instructor reviews questions you do not understand. You will receive a CD-ROM to practice computer-based testing during the first session.

Dates for the 2003-2004 school year are:

  • Saturdays, Sept. 20 through Oct. 11
  • Saturdays, Nov. 15 and 22 (LSAT ONLY)
  • Saturdays, Jan. 24 through Feb. 14,2004
  • Saturdays, May 1 through 22, 2004

The total cost for each course is $450 (GMAT/GRE) and $375 (LSAT). Payment is required at the time of registration. The fee includes instruction, course materials and a practice CD.

The exact schedule of the sessions is determined by the exam for which you are preparing. For a detailed schedule visit: www.ohiou.edu/noncredit/prep.htm, call (740) 593-1764, or e-mail test.prep@ohio.edu. For general information about the course, call (740) 593-9925.

As an added convenience, you can take your GRE or GMAT test on campus at the Educational Testing Center in the Computer Services Center. Call (740) 597-1537 for more information and to make a reservation or visit www.ohiou.edu/etc.

If a classroom-based preparation course doesn't fit your schedule, GMAT, GRE, PRAXIS and LSAT test preparation can be taken online. Visit www.ohio.edu/noncredit/eprep.htm to explore these alternative options.
