School of Theater presents William Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'

ATHENS, Ohio (Feb. 25, 2004) -- The Ohio University School of Theater is proud to present its fourth mainstage production: "Romeo and Juliet, directed by School of Theater faculty member Gregory Lush. This classic story of "star-crossed lovers" explores uncompromising love in one of Shakespeare's greatest romance stories.

In the heat of a Veronese summer, a betrothed Juliet and a wondering Romeo meet and in classic form...love at first sight. After discovering they belong to warring families, what was once a storybook romance turns to a race against time, society and each other. Can their love conquer all? Will their story conclude with an "... ever after?" It's for you to decide as the greatest love story ever told is transported in its newest production at Ohio University.

Romeo and Juliet will embrace the stage of the Forum Theatre in the Radio and Television Arts Building from Feb. 25 to 28 and March 3 to 6. All performances begin at 8 p.m. and regular admission is $10 and $8 for students and seniors. For more ticket information call the College of Fine Arts box office at (740) 593-4800.
